Chance to get an Ultracade machine...questions about it
« on: October 27, 2010, 11:37:11 pm »
I have the opportunity to purchase an Ultracade machine for $250 that is supposed to be in very good condition and fully functional. I believe it has 85 games on it including several of Streetfighter. I'm supposed to go play it this Saturday so I'm not exactly sure if it has a trackball or not. Below is a picture of what I think it looks like...

So would this be a good deal? I read somewhere that these machines may be prone to problems? Is this accurate? What kind of monitor do they use?

Thanks!

$250 sounds like a good deal, I never owned one, but I did play on one a couple of times in the arcade. I think you did alright  :applaud:

Decent cabinet, monitor - even trackball setup?

Also, depending on what is powering the games -

New the genuine units were pricy...

Looks like this may have been another game cabinet converted....but again, if all is good then it is worth it...where are you located?

The lock bar in front makes me guess this was on location (making $$$) so you want to take a look inside.

Enjoy it!

The cabinet shape, controls and everything else is the same as the link, but the side art is different. I'm guessing the original side art probably got damaged so they put the other one on.

250 is a good price if it's in good nick, although these machines aren't tainted by the 2nd son satan...

I like the second one better. No --bags of cream-filled twinkies-- inside!

250 is a great price for an Ultracade if it isn't hammered. Seems like there must be something wrong with it since its still a commercially viable  machine.

Good luck!
