mapping GBA game buttons to 6 button control panel
« on: October 24, 2010, 09:47:27 pm »
I have mame running with an ipac 2.  Each joystick has 6 buttons.

I set up the mednafen emulator to play GBA games tonight, but I am not sure what the best button mapping would be for a/b/select/start/left/right.  What do other people do?

i dont do anything other than mame on my cabinets, however i'd probably do this:
assuming a 6 button street fighter type layout:

start = start
select = coin button(if you have one, otherwise i'd use button 6)
B = button 1
A = button 2
L = Button 4
R = Button 5
