mala jukebox
« on: October 23, 2010, 10:12:50 pm »
I'm trying to get MaLa jukebox working, but I'm having some issues. It shows up under the list of emulators, and I can switch to it, but all I see is *Add All Files*, *Clear Playlist*, *Stop*, [Backdrops], [Hotkeys],[Textures], etc. I don't see any of the mp3 files in the folder I selected. It also seems to be scanning every time the Jukebox is switched to. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks! This is my mistake. I picked the wrong directory for my music.

I'm excited about using MaLa for my jukebox needs, but I have some quick questions. Is there a way to hide *Play*, *Stop*, and all of the other associated actions and assign them to buttons instead? Also, is there any hope of supporting ID3 tags so that the music can be listed in track order?

Thanks for such an awesome FE.

Not at the moment

It supports MP3 tags to some degree now right?

It will display tghe file name but if MP3 tag is present it will display that.

Not sure what you mean

Can assigning buttons be put on the list someplace?  :D

I organize my music by album. Currently, when you look at a folder it lists it in alphabetical order. It would be awesome if it could list it in the order of the track number. This information is available on the ID3 tag.

Thanks again. Could this kind of work be outsourced somehow to interested members? I realize MaLa isn't open source, but I know everyone has their own random request. Then you could just respond with "Do it yourself and send me the code."  ;D

Sure, Another solution is you rip your files with the track number at the head of the file name. EG FreeRip will do this

Thanks. I like that idea. I should be able to rename all of my music so this works out. Thanks!
