Another New Guy looking for Bartop Design Advice/Feedback
« on: October 10, 2010, 01:44:59 pm »
I have attached a PDF of a Google Sketchup design of bartop 2 player Arcade.  It is 24" wide 20" deep and about 33" tall.  Does this seem too tall?  I could take it down a couple of inches because I have the control panel raised 4-5".  My control panel is 24" wide and 10" deep.  I'm planning on having two player setup with a joystick/6buttons each.  A coin button and player start button.  Two buttons on the side of Pinball and maybe some admin buttons on front panel below the control panel.  Right now all the boards are 3/4" thick and will have TMolding.

I would plan on having a bezel with plexiglass.  Would it be easy to put one in after it was completely built (is the plexiglass flexible to fit inside)?  Also, for the Marquee is it easy to switch out or what is the best way to go about that.  I don't really have a theme right now and wouldn't want to be locked in with a marquee right away.  The pink box is the height width measurements of the 17" LCD I'm planning on putting in it.

Any feedback is welcome.  It isn't 100% designed, but I was going to also bring this to someone I know who does a lot of woodworking and get his advice also.  Let me know if it would help/make more sense to attach a different file format (sketchup itself, picture) or something with more measurements laid out on the drawing.

Thanks in advanced!
