GameEx Rom Listing Update Feature

My GameEx is asking me to do a rom listing update at least once a day.  It pops up randomly and if you hit select then the machine is locked up for a while.  I know there is a manual update in the MAME menu so how can I turn this feature off to where if I need to update the list I can do it manually???
