"So how come pirating has taken the DC down but not the PSX?"

Have you ever done any of the soldering it required? The PSX wasnt to bad (pretty easy) but is above alot of the people who would want to do it. Now the PS2 one is a true PAIN IN DA BUTT! soldiering to the tip of a pin without touching the pins beside it... a good solderer can do it no sweat, but not me... The DC required a boot disk, or the ability to follow instructions on a million websites...

With that said, the DC was a sweet little system, that IMHO was hampered by the poor sales of its older Brother (saturn) and the Ill will to its even older half Brother  the 32X ( which also put a dark tint on a very Bright Video game system life ( genesis).

and on orig Thread, I have a ?Sammy? VGA adapter and I have had no problems with the Boot Disk, but I havent had my DC on in about 6-8 months so I may have tried the right games, as I didnt try every game I had.

[Do you own every board for every mame rom set on your computer? Not "defending" piracy...just sayin'. Pot's an kettles...  ;D

I meant how many MAME games, but whatever...

I don't play Mame on my cabinets.  I have all the roms I want to play LEGALLY.  I own most of the Namco/Atari/Williams arcade packs for DC, PS2, and PC.   No kettle calling here dude.

this is one of those lose lose topics, lets jut stick to PLAYING games and what games are good and console control hacking and leave all the backup/moral arguements out. thats the kind of stuff that gets these topics locked.

we all have games and like to play them, and dreamcast rules, so does mame.

Agreed, Sega rules...I've had to get new systems just to play their games. Love their software and I loved their hardware...even the poor misunderstood saturn.

You may be a fanboy if...  ;D
