You sure the video card is fully pressed into the slot, and the cable is tight?
If you didnt mount the board high enough the cards tab might be pushing it out of the slot slightly
Any beeps from the motherboard?

Do you have a speaker plugged into the motherboard - beeps will tell you what wrong.

Also, start out as minimal as possible. Take everything out except the memory cpu and video card, no HDD nothing and see if it boots.
Reseat the memory, take out the screws holding the m/b down. Just get it as basic as you can then put things back one by one
Is there any metal touching the underside of the motherboard? A short somewhere will stop it booting too.
Its unlikely you have killed it but possible, static can kill components but I doubt it, probly a short somewhere

I've been in the situation you are in dozens of times, annoying but theres usually a solution before too long. only ONCE have I killed a board   :timebomb:

The motherboard has power, the cpu fan spins? Does the CPU get hot? Thats a good way to tell is the mobo is fried or not

If electro static discharge didn't fry your memory or cpu then try reseting the cmos using the jumper on the mobo.  If you can't find it try googleing the model of your mobo then look for the manual.  Bad memory could be the culprit as it is very sensitive to esd.   Also,  does the mono you have use onboard video?

Also,  like the previous post said,  make sure the small speaker that is normally inside the computer case is pluged into the motherboard.  Its not the speakers that you would use for playing games.  Its the system speaker.  If there is any problem during your computers post the the series of beeps would tell you what is going on.  Wether its a bad memory module or video card.

Theres a jumper you can put on that resets the CMOS (default mobo settings) but thats unlikely to help.
The board probably says "cmos reset" next to it, they used to at least.

but If theres no beeps and the CPU doesnt get hot, im afraid it may be fried. That has actually happened to me once, it sucks sorry.
If youve got more memory to try I'd try it, but it dont sound good   :(

Had a no boot problem once with a MB that was mounted in a cab.   The screws used were too large and shorted out some on board circuits.  Try removing your MB from the cab and power it up outside the cab on some cardboard or other insulating material.

It kinda sounds to me like his Mobo has defaulted to onboard graphics.  Thant would be easy to check, just plug your vga cable into the onboard VGA port attached to the MOBO. If that works just change the bios to default to the AGP slot.

He means integrated or onboard Video - a VGA socket on the board itself. That would take the card out of the equation but if your CPU isnt getting hot then the board is Chick-Fil-A
