The new season starts Sunday night on HBO.  Kenny Powers is back....

Anyone planning on watching it?  Hilarious if not completely obnoxious.

I just heard about that show yesterday! I want to see it, Im going to check to see if the first season is on demand so I can be brought up to speed. I got nothing to watch now that Entourage and True Blood are over.

Checked out that Boardwalk Empire show? The first episode was on the other night. Wasnt too bad.
Pictures are overrated anyway.

Boardwalk Empire is on my list too.  I didnt see the first one so I need to record it.  I'm behind on Entourage too.

Season 1 of East Bound and Down was only 6 episodes but it's a riot.  The main character, Kenny Powers, is written as possibly the most obnoxious character on tv.

Scorsese directed it, so its kinda like Goodfellas, so if you like that, youll like this. Entourage ended on a SWEET cliffhanger. Too bad it wont be back til next summer, AND its the last season.  :banghead:

Haha awesome. I love a good comedy. Sweet!

Eastbound & Down is quite possibly the funniest show ever.  Curb Your Enthusiasm is up there too but damn Kenny Powers is funny.  The video is NSFW!

Love this show. Was completely captivated after seeing the trailer even without dialogue. Ranks up there with my favorites, the office (uk version), trailer park boys, curb your enthusiasm, arrested development, flight of the conchords.

Well the premier last night was pretty slow.  I'm hoping that the next episode picks up the pace.  I'm used to Kenny Powers having quality one-liners right and left.

Though the cornrows were awesome to see on him.  And good old Stevie Janowski....always willing to help Kenny out!

 :laugh2:

Just saw the premiere last night.  It was a little slow but there were still a few gems in there - his speech to the Mexican baseball team at the end was great.  I hope the rest of the season is better but none of the cast from last season is coming back other than Stevie (and other than some cameos) and the entire season is going to take place in Mexico.

Episode 2 was absolutely hilarious.  Stevie showing up, the speech to the team, and just Kenny being Kenny was funny stuff.

I love when Stevie listens to his manuscript on tape...I'd quote it, but as PBJ has pointed out to me, children may be on board. Plus, Kenny's colorful use of profanity may elude the auto-censor. Ah screw it, I'll censor it myself:

"Over the course of my career, I've played on many different teams — some I liked, and some I really f***ing hated. I am not mentioning any names, but let's just say that Seattle can tongue-kiss my s***hole"

Agreed.  I also have a feeling these will get funnier upon multiple viewings.  Stevie is awesome.

Alright, alright, the second season is growing on me.

Wish they'd get rid of the retarded sidekicks, though.

Stevie or the two he picked up in Mexico?

I've watch chapter 9 (S2E3) 3 times now. Jeez, just about every line in it is funny. It's my favorite episode ever...so far. I could pop off 20 memorable quotes right now. One just popped into my head an hour ago at work that I had forgot: "I know you just didn't make my dick go soft my saying you liked soccer".

Just caught up last night.  This season has been awesome so far.  I need to go back and watch it again - so many great lines and Stevie has been fantastic.  I can't wait for the season finale - maybe there will be an April sighting?

What an awesome awesome finale.  The whole second season was great.

"Yeah, I’m sure they got sluts in Tampa. But I didn’t go there, wet puss. I went to Mexico on an epic, spiritual quest that ended in failure."

"Stay in school, fight the power and don’t do drugs. Unless of course you’re doing ’em with me.  Never turn down free drugs."

"Down there I fought and f**ked my way to becoming the greatest gringo that country has ever seen."

I just watched all the episodes this weekend.  I thought it was alright compared to season 1.  I thought season 1 was great and had several laughs.  To be honest I never really gave it my full attention and was doing other things at the same time.  I may have to sit down and watch them again sometime giving it more attention.
