Rom Management
« on: September 23, 2010, 08:50:12 am »
Hello to all,

Im trying to organise my rom files, basically I have a full set using Mame32 0138. I have tried using rom lister but it doesnt seem to work properly?? Also using Mame content manager to delete roms I dont want...I want to delete Adult, Mahjong, Card games, And most importantly, Vertical. All of them show up in the delete list except for vertical. So, my question in, what is the easiest, and most used way to remove vertical and unwanted roms from my mame set in order to use with Maximus...Excuse my "noobines" :)

No sure either but I know you can hide the adult ones and if you use MA you can create your own Favorite folders. This is how mine is set up. I'm not next to my cab at the moment but I believe is catver for your mame program that holds which ones are adult, clones, etc. Then place it in your mame folder and use ALT+P in MA to configure it.

Ok cool! So...what file (or type)does maximus use when creating a game list?? Can I use a program to make a custom list and use that file instead of scanning the rom folder. I'm mostly concerned about removing the vertical games as I'm using a genuine arcade monitor mounted horizontaly...
