Famicom Disk System in MA? (having problems)
« on: September 21, 2010, 07:50:55 pm »
I have been changing around artwork and adding systems in MA with some luck, but this one is being difficult.

I am using Nestopia.
I have a decent FDS rom collection, and the correct bios (required to run Famicom Disk System games)

It all works just fine (though a little slow and buggy) outside of MA.

I switched out the artwork and tried to configure it under the "SNK Neo Geo" slot in MA, but no matter what I try to do, it keeps telling me that I have an invalid media location.

I am not new to this stuff, so I don't understand the issue. I put a copy of the bios in the same file with the roms (it is a .nes, the roms are .fds)
I have pointed to the rom folder, and i have respecified the default file type to search for as far as roms to BOTH .nes, and .fds.

I get nothing but the "invalid media location" message.

Anyone else bother to do this? I know its not really a top priority system for most people, but I would like it in my collection.
I could try it in the NES slot, but that one is already occupied, and I dont want to throw the roms together into a single collection either.

Makes sense.

However, i don't think that was my only problem.

I switched it for Neo Geo Pocket, and it does the same thing.

(I actually have Neo Geo Pocket Color running under the correct directory and including non-color roms)
