Coin Door has anyone ever use this one?
« on: September 20, 2010, 12:16:12 pm »
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330449209912&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I saw this one on ebay and it says it has a plastic frame but the price is right unless someone here has a better suggestion?

I like the look of this one the best and I could basicly use it as a dummy coin door and use the push buttons for coin credits.

I am always look for suggestions though and lower prices but who isn't these days.

thanks in advance

I'd check if the coin returns are actual buttons or just lit up fakes.

The second photo in that auction shows the back of the door and they appear to be fake as the seller indicated.  You might see if there is someplace reasonably close to you that sells/services amusement devices.  They might have a used coin door for cheap.

That's a standard happ door without the coin mech holders.  The coin return buttons *should* be the same as used in the standard doors and it looks like the button has the shaft/spring/c clip that the return buttons usually have.   It should be able to be depressed and if you rig up some sort of holder for a microswitch it should be able to coin up.

thats the coin door i have, works great for pushing the coin returns. just set the micro switch normally closed and mount them like in my picture.

That's a nice solution -- I've something similar to allow crediting up on older games with no freeplay option.
