Dunno if anyone posted this, but interesting.  Pretty addictive and very Halo-esque while playing like an Atari game.  I highly recommend playing it if you are an Atari 2600 fan!

I gotta add this one to my cab.

The cartidge... yes they made a cartridge.

The game...

Also, so far from one day of playing, Halo:Reach = amazing.

I'll bet it's just as much fun as all the Halos have been....

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Yeah I noticed that, but didn't see anything on it until yesterday.  I saw nothing on this forum about it, so I thought someone here might find it as enjoyable as I did.  Fun game, I guess they actually made Atari 2600 cartridges and all for it.  Pretty awesome.

What's also awesome is that it was made by Ed Fries:  Ex-Vice President of game publishing at Microsoft. Fries was one of the original visionaries behind the first Xbox, and key to Microsoft's success in gaming.

I have huge respect for the guy, most execs at publishing houses are business folk with no real clue when it comes to games, or game development.

He built this game after he resigned as something he wanted to do for fun!
Much respect!

Darn, searched for Halo 2600, not Halo Atari nor halo2600.  Sorry about the double post.

Like they said in the post, Halo 2600 reminds me of Night Stalker for intellivision or ET for atari, if ET was good.
