MAME command line nag screens?
« on: September 06, 2010, 07:16:07 pm »
I am using an old version of MAME (.63) with the command line switches skip_description and skip_gameinfo, but it still pops up a screen that says "There are known issues with this game" and asks me to type "OK".

Typing OK won't work in my cab and I want to get rid of it if possible, is there another command line switch to get rid of this annoying screen?

Moving your P1 joystick left and right is the same as typing ok.

Is this for one particular game?  You can upgrade Mame to a newer version where the nag screen only appears once and then you wont see it again.  You don't have to update your roms or anything.  You only use the new(er) version of Mame for that particular game.

You can also recompile Mame so you wont have to deal with any nag screen.

Thanks for the joystick trick.  I am using version .63 which works well for rotary games.  I have a newly compiled and nag free MAME version for all other games.

I just noticed that the screen is not stretched very far and only uses the middle of the screen, any idea how to do that with a command line switch?
