Gamepad Questions . What are you using?

I'm at the point in my build where my cabinet and control panel are nearly completed and I need to look into extras  .  The computer I built is pretty decent and capable of running the newest games like SF4, Dirt2, Batman, ect.  For some of these games the stock control panel just wont do, specifically games like Batman, or any FPS style game where movement and aiming require 2 directional pads. 

My question is what types of game pads is everyone using?  I was thinking I like the Xbox 360 controllers and you can purchase the wireless usb dongle and control off amazon for around $50.  A big plus is they come in Black which matches my cabinet.  Everything is accessible on my cabinet from where the player sits normally.  I don't want to have to get up to get a controller when I start a game.  Call me lazy I Guess.

Do they make a 360 gamepad holster?  If not, Do they make them for any game pad for the pc?

I don't play those sorts of games on my arcade cabinet, just because it's not a comfy place to do it. I prefer my recliner. I use a wired XBOX 360 controller with all my PC games.

you can get NES to USB converters for like $20 on eBay. NES controllers have the best D-Pads in history.

there aren't enough buttons on an nes controller to play most games.  360 controllers are pretty good. they are getting ready to release a new model that has an improved Dpad, which sounds promising.

personally, i'd rather play those games on my 360, on the sofa, on the big screen, but that's just me.

did anyone complain about the lack of ability to rotate the dpad??? no, people complain because it sucks to play games with. he didnt say anything about making it work better for games. i guess ill have to wait and feel for myself.

well, hopefully it will be better than the current one, it can't get much worse.  i love the 360 controller, i just don't know why the dpad sucks so badly, it worked pretty well on the original xbox controller S model.

I've got a couple of Logitech Precision Gamepads I use for testing or if I want to add an additional player temporarily.  I don't play a lot of PC games but I've been real happy with these.
