Change Emulator GUI?
« on: August 30, 2010, 02:59:43 pm »
Hey Guys just getting my MA setup - now that I have two emulators in the system (two versions of MAME, hijacked the Raine emulator slot per a previous tutorial in there).

When I fire up MA at boot, I get that nice juicy GUI that lets you flip between emulators by moving the joystick left/right and shows a nice image for each one, etc.

After I select one of the emulators and get the games list, I hit the "Emulator Menu" command I assigned to a button, but it gives me an ugly grey box with the two emulators as text that I can pick from.

Is there a key or command I can bind to a button that will bring me back to that nice GUI that one sees when starting up MA?

Is it the "Home" key?

Is that a question or an answer?  :)

I'll try that when I get home - thanks.

controller/controller mapping/setup 1/previous menu <- bind that to your 'back' button, that will take you back to the previous menu

Will that always be the main emulator menu? I'm trying to think if any of the menus are more than one level deep.

Thanks - will try this too.

No.

Well, it seems to work for me, but I also don't have anything but a keyboard.

I actually built my control panel around the "back" button.  Makes it very easy for people to switch between emulators.  :-)
