First Attempt at a Cabinet *UPDATE Coin door installed.*

Well i have been reading the forums for the past 4 months and i have begun working on my cabinet, Knievels woody inspired me to build one to fit the available space i have. I have kept with taking pictures and such. But i want to get the marquee holder, but i dont know where to get one other than happcontrols. Can someone point me to the right direction.

I've been researching ideas for the marquee retainer also.  I think a lot of people use angled aluminum bracket.  You can get that at home depot, in the carpet section.  I was going to check it out next time I was at the store and see if would work for me.

So i found something that worked, instead of using an aluminum l bracket i found a plastic corner protector, does the same job, it only cost me 2 bucks sweet. Found it in homedepot.

Are you planning on doors on the back side so you can reach the back of the monitor etc. , just in case?
Are you going to apply t-molding? What are your plan's for art-work?

The front is the door, easy access. There will be t-molding definately. And for art I am not sure yet, but I am a big halo fan, so maybe something along those lines.

For what it's worth, my opinion is that Halo is a console game and this is an arcade cabinet...  But then you know what they say about opinions

How are you going to finish this thing?  Stain? Laminate?  _{(please no Halo)}

FYI, to make life easy, don't draw on your plywood!  erasing pencil lines is a huge pain if you are planning to stain - put down some blue painter's tape, draw your lines, make your cuts and peel off the tape.  No lines!

It looks great.  Seeing yours has inspired me to try and finish mine - let's see who gets there first...
