Hm. For some reason that wont load for me. Can you explain what is happening? I have that same monitor, maybe I can help you out.
Pictures are overrated anyway.

It's on the verge of vertical collapse, only about three inches of vertical image in the middle of the screen.

Weird, that image wont load either. I am at work, so that might have something to do with it. Thanks for trying to give me a link Kevin. Could it be a sync issue? Mine was having a little of the same problem. I had to resolder the sync on the board. Had to re-do a couple of traces as well, but now it works fine. Now Im trying to sell it lol.

resolder the pins on the vert output IC.

given time, thermal cycling will degrade the connections.

i thought i had already answered this, this is a very common fault on ms8 chassis
there is a capacitor and a resistor that crap out-i think if the cap goes first you get partial collapse

Change C433 R433
If full vertical frame collapse then also change R436 Q401 Q402 C437

note it is worth checking what qrz has already said and you should check out your yoke readings/connectors

Before you do the soldering, I would do what grantspain said. That could be it, because my problem was a little different, the image finally loaded for me lol.

Do what he said first.
