« on: August 21, 2010, 06:50:01 pm »
I already took the search but couldnt find a related topic. So I think it's a new circumstance. Anyway... what is happened to my favourite retro games information source? Is there any way to help?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Huh? What's wrong with my question, of course probably some syntax (I'm German ;-)), but with regards to content?

nothing with your question.

just the realization of something broken.  :dunno

I too just had a WTF moment. I visited MAWS on a somewhat regular basis, it sucks the account has been suspended. Hopefully, its just that its popularity have outgrown its service provider membership.  :badmood:

looks like the whole *.mameworld.info has been suspended, not just MAWS.

Not good....

At least the domain didn't expire this time. Probably an issue with the hosting company.

I think the problem is a conspiracy to keep us from having access to the vector art archive (formerly at localarcade).  SOMEONE is so deep into this that they will kill off all of mameworld.info just to keep those files away from us.

Screw you The Man...SCREW YOU!!!

I'd say email the guy (his email address is posted in the whois record), but he probably lost that email address the same time the web site went down.
Thats why it is always good to use something like gmail for domain records.
