It seems to work for me if I do this:
1. Download from
http://mirrors.arcadecontrols.com/Salmonking/ (I chose SKJukeboxInstall_v400.zip - The latest full version, with added video support)
2. When installing, I elected to put it in C:/SKJukebox, rather than in the Program Files directory. I find that a lot of programs not designed for Windows 7 have problems with permissions in the Program Files directory.
3. First time I tried to run it, I got an error about the ImagXpr6.dll file. So then I...
4. Set the skjukebox.exe file to Run As Administrator.
5. Tried again. It worked. I could add a music directory and select songs and they played.
From that point, if you wanted to upgrade to Version 4.01, you could then download that and install that EXE wherever you installed the program. You'd have to set it to Run As Administrator again.
I like SKJukebox. The one feature that I like the most about it is the way SalmonKing incorporated a pitch change option. That lets me play anything in my collection at a pitch tuned to our piano or my guitar, allowing me to play along. It's a great choice for a home jukebox, but I hadn't tried it on Windows 7 because I've spent my efforts at getting WinCab up and running great on my Windows 7 machine.
Let me know if this works for you.
