Hi score hacks for Jakks plug n plays?

I'm just looking at parts I have lying around, and I'm wondering what kind of hacks have been achieved with those Jakks plug n plays... I have a Ms Pac/Galaga/Pole/Mappy/Xevious, and my major concern is Hi Score saves. Also, has anyone hacked one to run vertically?  Anything else cool?

I know they're not the 'coolest' around here (and inauthentic I hear? I havent been able to tell gameplay wise...) but its Ms Pac and Galaga and its PLUG N PLAY!
