I just realized that the black guy is the Master Sargent from Aliens.

I'm telling you, either put on these glasses or start eating that trash can!  PUT ON THE GLASSES!

They Live is one of my guilty pleasures.  It isn't the same actor from Aliens however.  The man in that scene is the great Keith David...not to be confused with David Keith.

He isn't the Sarge Apone from Aliens

Al Matthews is APone:

Your Guy is Keith David

The only thing in common that they are African American actors and they are depicted wearing a Masonic ring in film.

Well, the guys sounds the same, hell they even still look a lot alike, perhaps that is the 80s black guy stereotype that they needed filled.

It didn't hold up for me. It was on Showtime or something a couple months ago. Basically half the movie is just watching Roddy Piper walk around while it plays that sad sack music.  I didn't really remember that.

Just one answer possible :P

Highly efficient fight, good humor!

Trivia: Ford was too sick for the regular stretched and overacted action-film fights.

I love how the cripple fight from south park is the same exact one from They Live. Gotta love it.

Hell yeah Keith David is great in Men at Work. Havent seen that one in ages...  :applaud:

They are also remaking The Thing. I dont know how I feel about that. Even though the John Carpenter one was a remake too, still makes me shudder. Total Recall too. Ugh. Rob Bottin did the effects for both of those, I love that dudes work.  :notworthy:
Pictures are overrated anyway.

I love They Live, but no fight scene has impressed me more than this one:

One cut, I think it took 6 tries to get it, and over a day to set up the shot each time.  If I remember right, on the 4th take, the film ran out just before he busts through the door at the top, they decided to keep going.  Another time, Tony saw that the mat was not set out right as he almost tossed someone over the railing.

Very good, may be a close second to They Live.  The Camera work on that scene was great!  Felt like I was watching a Ninja God of War.

Couldn't sleep last night and fired up Netflix - watched the entire first episode of 'V'

Hadn't even THOUGHT about that series since the 1980-something

There's no way the Thing remake will top the John Carpenter one.  They'll smear CGI all over the whole thing.  Maybe even taun-tauns in the background.

Might not be the most hardcore, or most realisitic, but it's the best! (I love they live btw... best movie ever!)

None of those guys in the protector fight scene had a gun? Or a knife? Or anything? Hm.  :dunno

And yeah popsicle...Totally bummed... All my favorites are getting ruined. Thank god the Robocop remake got scrapped cause Darren Aronofsky is doing something else. That would have sucked, thats one of my all time favorite movies!!!
