Drilling
« on: August 10, 2010, 10:19:11 am »
Cutting of the boards is complete, but now I face the daunting task of drilling my CP.

Few questions.

1) What size hole do I need to drill for Happ Competition 8 way sticks? I know I need 1 1/8" forstner for the buttons.

2) Whats the best way to line up/mark where you will be drilling? I tried those templates to get a general idea, but can't seem to print them exactly to scale.

1) I cut out 1-1/8 for my comp joysticks. Depending on how much of the shft extruds from the hole, you can make the hole smaller too.
2) By templates im assuming you mean these? http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/layout.html Just click the 100PPI link and print, make sure no scaling is done via the printer though. 100PPI is the actual size. What I did was to make my CP in photoshop in 300DPI, use the 300PPI templates, and then brought it to ups kinkos and print it out at 100DPI.
