IPAC4 Firmware
« on: August 10, 2010, 08:42:51 am »
I have an IPAC4 that I purchased a little over a month ago that is having an issue similar to some other people have reported.  Basically it must have the IPAC2 firmware as even though controls are wired into separate ports, some are the same button, and the default controls are wrong.  I saw a thread below that upgrading the firmware resolves the issue, and did what was suggested, which is emailed Andy.

Andy agreed that upgrading the firmware should fix the issue, but unfortunately is on vacation for two weeks and cannot respond with the firmware (no ill will, its vacation!  I understand) until the 23rd.  I am just hoping someone else who had the issue still has the file and instructions on updating, I can't wait two more weeks to use my cabinet... everything else is done!

Can anyone help?  Yes I cross posted this on the Ultimarc forums at MameWorld :)  I am desperate.

Thanks
Anthony

I've got it, I'll send it to you this evening (can't get to that email account right now).

Thanks sir, I appreciate it :)

I found this old thread that has ipac4_26a.ufw linked in it... is it the same/latest version?

No idea.  I don't know which version is the latest (or anything about Andy's version numbering, for that matter).

Check the dates, that thread is from a couple weeks ago. The firmware in that thread is the latest and greatest.
