Looking at getting a JPAC soon - How Many Buttons Supported
« on: August 05, 2010, 10:39:10 pm »
Hey everyone

I'm looking at getting a JPAC for my new cabinet I just picked up. Right now the cab is two players with 4 buttons per side. I am planning on adding two more buttons per side so it will be running six per player...

Will the JPAC be able to pull this off? I've read both yes and no and the ultimarc site, if I read it correctly, looks like yes but I'm looking for someone who has done it...

Also wondering about how I would add buttons to the JPAC for pause, exit, etc. for getting in and out of games and navigation in Maximus Arcade... I also will be adding a trackball eventually but I don't think that will effect the JPAC correct?

I'm just wondering if I would be better off going with an IPAC instead...

Any help is much appreciated...
Thanks,
Mike

8 buttons per player supported on jpac plus test service coin etc.  You can assign buttons to pause exit etc or use shift (P1 Start) to use the alternate key assigned to most buttons.  The default setup for keys is on the ulimarc site.  Link
