midway ps reset voltage too high
« on: July 31, 2010, 06:29:56 am »
theres loads of these types of threads all over the net and i have read them but,my prob might be a little different than theirs.

my ps reset on my midway linear ps invaders, was originaly around 5v (i know that is way too high) i have just recapped the supply today with a bobroberts kit and its dropped to floating around 2.5v.

what more can i do to get it down to the ideal 0.3v.

thanks.
:)

edit:
i have ordered a -5v regulator and will swap the existing one when i recieve it,i had to order it as maplin did not keep them in shop so i had to order the part, will get by end of week hopefully.someone said they did the same and it dropped from 2.5v to 0.5v so i am trying the same.
