You have to make the decision if you want to mount a monitor to reflect into the mirror or just remove the mirror and mount your monitor "straight on". If you reflect into the mirror, you will have to flip your image to look proper and not all emulators will do this and it will use more CPU to do it but the effect can be very cool if you get it right. And IMO SI isn't really worth the $ to restore, I'd haggle that price...
