It doesn't even look like that.  It looks like a barrier strip that has leads from a PS/2 cable attached to it.

Notice how it says "several inputs" ? His way of getting around telling you exactly how many the thing has which probably isn't many. :P Its also not usb. and I doubt that it has shift capability. Might be ok for a single player VERY limited basic laptop control panel but thats about it. I could be wrong about its capabilities but it looks like just a terminal block with some minimal simple circuitry. (bare bones no frills encoder) Better off hacking a gamepad if you're on a budget. I'm sure its a joke compared to an i-pac.

I ordered one last week, should get it any day now.

I emailed him and he's working on a 24 input version, no timeline yet.  It has some circuitry on it, on the back.  I'll let you guys know how they work when I get it.

someone tried these before and posted a quick "review"

it didn't have  alot of inputs and was a 9 dollar solution for him till he bought a "real" encoder =P
