Jamma converter
« on: July 24, 2010, 07:07:46 pm »
I get my very first arcade cabinet on monday its a spectrum cabinet with primal rage game ;D. I'm very excited about this as i've wanted my own personal arcade since i was a kid. Anyway i had some questions to ask, so here it goes.     1: can i get a jamma converter for my cabinet to play some neo-geo games.
2: are these multi game jamma boards really any good.

thanks

1: Yes http://www.jammaboards.com/store/neogeo-mvs-to-jamma-adapter/prod_198.html

2: Opinions vary, from what I have read they have gotten better, and work ok for a plug and play, but with the cost of old P3 & P4's basicly free now, The consensus I think is to go with Mame.

With a little know how (found here) an older version of Mame is far more customizable, any games you want, frontend, and probably more reliable. (Plus it's FREE)

1: Just get a 1-slot board -- they are already JAMMA.

2: PC+JPac = win!
