Eye bolt

Ok, most cabs I see have a large eye-bolt through the front near the CP(including mine). What was this for?? Chaining the game down??

I am taking mine out to put an exit button in.

Security bar across the coin door to prevent break-ins...these don't work well, at least where I am...people break in after hours, attach a rope the the bar and to a vehicle, drive away, and this pulls the whole front off the game.

Those are called hasp bars.  One of my cabinets had a giant hole in the front where a hasp bar was pulled out by force.  Luckily for you, the front of your cabinet is in one piece!
