Howdy-

I'm selling one of my toys from my recent trip to Japan: a Nintendo Famicom clone (Japanese version of the US Nintendo NES) that looks like a shrunken Space Invaders cocktail machine.

New in box, opened only to test & photograph.

Battery operated (!).  One could hack an AC adapter into the battery compartment w/out too much trouble, though.

Comes with Macross cart.

Thanks,
-Jason

There are adapters out there, like this one: http://www.jandar.net/famiconv/

I don't know if the Famiclones are compatible with such adapters or if the case will allow them to fit without hacking...

Interesting...Gyromite (and possibly other early NES games) seem to have a Famicom-NES adapter in them--I guess early NES games were actually the Famicom versions, but with an adapter board built in to the cartridge case.  Note that this is the *opposite* of the adapter linked to above, and this Gyromite adapter board would *not* work with the Famiclone that I'm selling (but it's cool): http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/23

Thanks,
-Jason
