Hi how do I change the Sanwa Joystick JLW-TM-8 to a four way stick I undid the screws on the bottom plate and tried to move the plate but wouldnt move.

Probably just stuck with crud over the years.
Sorry misunderstood the question.  I thought the mounting plate would not come loose.  :(

you have to loosen the screws really far before the restrictor plate will turn..when i first got mine, i thought they would just have to be a little loose, but i had to unscrew them pretty far before it would go.
