What is this "tape"?

See attached.

What's this tape that I find frequently holding down or lending additional support to various components other than heat sinks?  Is it still thermal tape? It's looks and feels like a metalized fabric.

It does, yes.  I checked the tape with my meter and it is conductive just like the description in the link you provided, so that's a good match. Thanks.

In the meantime, to re-secure some parts, I took a clue from other areas that are secured with what looks identical to my aluminum tape for duct work. It's done the job quite well, and of course I'm making sure to stay away from anything that looks like it might carry a current, lest this happen:
