acording to the pinout document pin Z a are for 2p button one 2p button two althought nothing is connected to a.
according to pinout also it says v 18 when you look at the connector its 18 R ?

First of all there are 2 sides to a jamma harness one is numbered 1 to 28 and connects to the component side of the PCB. The other side is A to Z and aa to ff or a to f to give the same 28 choices and connects to the solder side of the PCB. Pin Z is Player 2 button 1. V should always be across from 18. Check your harness and see how it compares to the JAMMA standard.

with jamma note some letters are missing (for example no G or I) think its to avoid confusions
