Power Stone 1 and 2
« on: June 28, 2010, 10:45:29 am »
Are these available for mame and if so, how do they run?  I have a 1.86ghz core 2 duo with 2 gigs of ram and an Nvidia 8800gt graphics card.
I thought about buying a dremcast to play these....I also started looking into NullDC.....As far as Null, does anyone know how well those play and how
difficult it is to get it to work.....

how difficult is it to set up Null DC and would by specs above allow me to play these without lag?  Is it comparable in setup to psxe?

Dreamcast.

As far as how hard it is to set up, it depends on your front end.  I'm using HyperSpin, which took a little bit of configuration to get NullDC to work right (but it works great).

As far as setting up NullDC itself, it's not difficult.

I have a 2.1 GHz c2d and power stone 1 and 2 work great. Development has ramped up recently on nullDC. They seem to be making a lot of progress. It's much more polished and stable than 1.0.3 was. (http://code.google.com/p/nulldc/) I'm not sure how to set it up in Hyperspin, but I have it working great in MaLa. I assume its very similar.

Alas, it's not that it's ramped up, he released what he had to this point because he is discontinuing development...  :(

actually since he did that there's been bout 2 or 3 more releases (he said he discontinued, but he's definitely still working on it).  Check the google code pake and the issues people have reported.. you'll see his responses to these reports.  They recently released revision 50.  Works really well. I'd say about 80% of the games I have tried run fullspeed.
