Hi Everyone,

I need a little help with my Ultimarc AimTrak Light Guns  I installed both guns and installed the firmware.  I'm using the gun housings made by Ultimarc.  I placed my LED PCB above my monitor on my bezel with LEDs pointing down.  I can calibrate both guns in windows just fine if I stand 3-4 feet back from monitor.  When I go into the Configuration software, Device 1 is seen but if I try any other device 2,3,etc I get no device.  Also the fire buttons are not working in mame.  Not sure what to do.  Any help would be appleciated.

I unpluged both my guns and just just plugged in one.  Works fine.  Tried Carnevil and didn't know I had to recalibrate the gun so that's why It would not shoot.  Bad game to try out first.  Works perfect now.  I have not tried the second gun with the first yet but will tomorrow.
I had the acts lab gun previous.  I really liked the actlabs gun before but the aimtrak is better.  The actlabs gun actually hurt my trigger finger after awhile.  The aimtrak housing is extremely comfortable to hold and fire.  The aimtrak is more accurate as well.  I use to play duck hunt with the actlabs gun and miss alot, aimtrak pretty accurate.  So far I really like the aimtrak.  Now I just have to get the second gun hooked up.

The AimTrak Light guns do not automatically select a device id number when plugged in.  You have to set the device id number for one of the guns to 2,3 or 4 using the configuration software.  Go to the Change Id tab and set the device id. Hope that helps.

So when I go into Change ID tab I'm not exactly sure what to do?  Do I just select set device id 1 and upgrade firmware?  I have tried a bunch of things but nothing seems to be working to get both devices.

Ok I set ID to 2 and now both guns are responding outside of mame but I can not get either to work in mame.  Before I could get both to set up when pressing TAB in mame with there x & y axis and buttons (expect for player 2 buttons).  Now I can't do any of this.  Do I have to change in mame the lightguns to mouses now instead of lightguns?

don't mean to derail thread, but I would really appreciate if someone could explain to me how to calibrate a gun on carnevil... a pm perhaps? I tried messing with the dip switches to see what they do, but I could never figure it out.

In Carnevil, press F2 to go to setup. You can calibrate the guns from there.
Hint: The games volume keys are mapped to + and - by default (up next to the backspace button on my keyboard).
