[ 7/23/10: moved sticks to eBay, still have 22 GGG Micro Leaf Switches:

Howdy-
After doing lots of joystick swapping & testing & mixing & matching, I've got my panel tuned in just how I like it, & I've got a heck of a lot of Wico joystick parts leftover for sale or trade.
Prices don't include shipping from 91107.
Item #2 has NOS shafts. On every other shaft listed below, I performed a thorough cleaning & polishing & then bagged every shaft individually to protect it from scratches. See the bottom of this e-mail for my polishing procedure.
***SOLD***1: $18 ea or $37 for the pair.
2x Wico 4" shaft red ball top (Robotron shafts!!!) grommet & microswitch 8-way joysticks. *Mostly* NOS. Everything but the shafts is NOS & unused. I performed a thorough polishing on the shafts & balls & they look great--not like brand new, but very nice. These are an interesting combo of old & new tech. They use the old grommets instead of newer springs, but they have microswitches instead of leaf switches. Nice feel! So, these are essentially just like Robotron sticks but with microswitches instead of leaf switches. So, if you're weary of adjusting your leaf springs on your Robotron, these might work out--perhaps you can hack in some GGG Micro Leaf Switches to make for non-clicky gaming, too! (see item 8 below)

2x unused NOS Wico 3.5" shaft red ball top grommet & microswitch 8-way joysticks. These are an interesting combo of old & new tech. They use the old grommets (a la Robotron sticks) instead of newer springs, but they have microswitches instead of leaf switches. Nice feel!

2x light red (not pink!) 3.5" ball top Wico shafts. Polished! (couldn't remove 2 small spots on 1 ball...). Same shaft as used in item 2 above. Includes E-clips. I would've call these "normal" red, but my other red sticks for sale here are slightly darker.

3x black 3.5" ball top Wico shafts. Polished & look reeeeally nice--these look as if they're hardly used! Same shaft as used in item 2 above.

3x red 3.5" ball top Wico shafts. Polished & look spiffy! Same shaft as used in item 2 above. 1st shaft includes dust washer, base washer, spring, actuator, E-clip. 2nd shaft includes base washer, spring, actuator, E-clip. 3rd shaft includes base washer, spring, actuator, E-clip.

4x iL 8-way ball top sticks on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1604461205398: But wait! There's more! I still have
22 GGG Micro Leaf Switches. These are drop-in replacements for button switches, but I did a little hacking/fussing & determined that they could be used in microswitch joysticks with a little effort. Perhaps these could be put into #1 above to recreate the Robotron experience more faithfully with modern joystick & switch technology? See my other post for details:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=99497.msg1051232I could also do some mixing & matching of hardware on the shafts, if desired. Let me know.
Polishing Procedure:
0 - put on safety glasses!!!
1 - chuck up hidden part of stick shank in drill press, spin at a few hundred RPM
2 - ultra fine Scotch-Brite on shaft & ball, use firm pressure (not too firm--can actually melt Scotch-Brite onto ball!)
3 - ethyl alcohol wipe with shop rag, both shaft & ball, to remove dust & debris
4 - Simichrome chrome polish on shaft with shop rag, make a few passes until pink polish has turned black & been absorbed into rag
5 - Novus 3, then 2, then 1 on ball with microfiber cloth
6 - clean shaft & rag with microfiber cloth to remove all debris & product residue
Thanks,
-Jason
