I tried playing it a few months ago on my N64, and the game does not hold up well at all.

Combine that with the fact that they replaced Brosnan Bond with Craig Bond, and...

meh

This one's not a re-make per se like the perfect dark version. This is a totally "new" game based off the old one. No different than say New Super Mario Bros Wii versus Super Mario Bros for the NES.

There a link for that?  The wikipedia entry makes it sound like a remake with some tweaks and features, like ditching Peirce.

We'd play that at work during breaks for months at a time.  It never got old.  Just an absolute blast.  I'll be checking it once it hits.

Hmmmmm...

That makes it even less interesting to me then. It will most likely have dated gameplay AND it isn't the same game that I'd be all nostalgic for.

I definitely didn't find that to be much of a highlight of E3 like many others did, but I'll still be interested to see how it turns out.

I was just playing goldeneye a few hours ago. I still think it's awesome! AND that's not from nostalgia, the first time i ever played it was about 3 years ago...
