looking for very simple juke software
« on: June 09, 2010, 12:30:08 pm »
hi juke board,
I'm looking for something really simple for my game cabinet. A lot of the jukebox programs I've looked at are based on albums (/folders of MP3s). Is there a good one that would be good with just one folder of songs, with controls for Queue (Play)/Prev/Next? Maybe could shuffle tracks when nobody is choosing songs?

No need for cover images or playlist support or anything like that! As simple as can be.

WinCab is perfect for what you are looking for.  If you look to the upper-left of your screen right now you will see the DOS/Wincab forum and you can find all about it there.  Not much usually gets posted there as its a pretty mature program, but I have it on my MAME box and it works well.

Aussie Juke, Arcade Jukebox, DWJukebox, my own MultiJuke (now MultiFE) as well DAM Jukebox can all do that.

So look for a singles based jukebox sofware and pickup your choice:

Decade Old Work: MultiFE, ArcadeMusicBox
Today Works: Various Spectrum Next games from Rusty Pixels and html5 games.
