  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hi guys! I'm planning out my next cab which will hopefully be done in a few months. It will be a Ms Pac-man cabaret cab running mame UI. What im stuck on is were to go with the paint and artwork.  So I thought I would ask you guys what you think.

Option one is an original factory design except that i would stain it rather than spend $100.00 on vinyl. I don't really think it will look that much different than vinyl and I need to keep the cost low on this.

Option two is to forget the wood look and paint the whole thing light blue and add pink t-molding. (I think someone here made the one in the pic. Nice work!)

Option three is three is to build a custom Ms Pac-man / Galaga class of 81 machine. It will be stained and have medallion sized ms pac art work on one side and galaga art work on the other with a class of 81 marquee and custom cpo.

The forth and final option is the same as #three but rather than staining it I would paint it blue on the ms pac side and black on the galaga side. It would have pink t molding on the ms pac side and green on the galaga side. I would probably just paint the front panel black unless i could find nis artwork for it.

Its alot of choices but the right look can make or break a cab. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
