Tron Mame Cab
« on: May 29, 2010, 10:58:17 pm »
Just picked up a Tron cab that needs works and while I put together the necessary parts I would like to drop a MAME setup into it so, at least, I can have the cab, in all of its glory, in the game room. As I begin planning for the project I had a few questions.

- Is there an aftermarket spinner that looks like the Tron spinner and might even be able to accept the tron spinner decal? If so which one.

-Which decoder would work best with the tron stick and button, along with the spinner? Would a minipac work?

Thats what I've got so far. Sorry for the noobish questions as I havent worked on a MAME can in  a few years.

Personally, unless you already have the decoder, etc, I would just save your money and put it towards the Tron restore.

Groovy Game gear has a TT2 Designer Series™ Premium Spinner Knob that works with the Turbo Twist 2 (TT2) spinner that matches the Tron cabinet.  http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=86&products_id=316

No decoder needed.  It's USB plug and play.  :)
