MAME Control Setting Question
« on: May 29, 2010, 07:35:57 pm »
I picked up a Hanaho MAME game at a garage sale today....it works great with one problem. When I play games the left joystick wants to start a menu when I hit the left direction. Meaning when I play Robotron it will come up with a menu adjusting things like volume and such. Is there some kind of setting out of sinc? Thanks

Are you using an I-PAC ?
Default (1p+left) is 'enter'

deafult 1p+up is the volume/brightness/etc menu

sticky 1p button?
Try hitting key 1 on the keyboard instead of the 1p button does it still do it?

I am not sure if it is a I-pac...will look tomorrow.   F1 did not do anything and the player one button is OK.  It seems to be a problem with playing a game.  Meaning it does not go into the menu from the main MAME screen..only when playing.

is it a slider bar along the bottom (result of pressing Player1+Up)
or a menu with 'cheats' in it (Tab)
