How To Buy an Arcade Cabinet in Japan?
« on: May 28, 2010, 08:13:41 pm »
Hey All,

I am moving to Guam.  I am hoping to make some trips Japan and scoop up a cabinet to refurbish.  Maybe a candy cab, anything worth fixing up :)  Something play my Hyperspin front end build on.

I would also be game for ordering a cab over the internet.

So here goes:

1) Where in Japan should one go when looking to buy a cabinet for refurbishing?

2) How does one ship a cabinet out of Japan?  Preferably to Guam :)

3) What are some Japanese websites that sell and ship arcade cabinets?

Thanks for your help!  I am open to any crazy theories :)

For finding a cab in person, my guess would be Akihabara. As for shipping one, it'd probably be easier to buy from the U.S unless you're fluent in Japanese. Can't imagine there being many online Japanese arcade dealers who are willing to ship international.
