Neo-Geo 2-slot problem
« on: May 22, 2010, 03:56:26 pm »
Hi guys :)

I just got a faulty Neo-Geo 2-slot board. Whether a game is inserted or not it only displays some
white squares(9 of them) and some strange characters at the top, while flickering a little.

I'm a Neo Geo newbie, so I know nothing

The board has some battery corrosion, but it doesn't seem very bad, and I've removed
it as good as I can.

Any advice as to what my next course af action should be? I would really like a guide, but
haven't been able to find one...I would also really like a component drawing, so I can see
what IC goes where, if I'm to put in new ones

Thanks, hope somebody can help:)

Nicholas

I'd clean the contacts on the mobo where the carts go in, and the carts themselves. there are other possible answers but this is the classic starting point.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.
