Hi guys. I'm thinking about making a namco class of 81 ms pac-man galaga replica running Mame. The thing is that it has two sets of player one and two buttons. One set for ms pac and another set for galaga. I am wandering how i would wire this in the I pac so that they both use the same two buttons? ( the same key is used for the player one left and player 1 right and the same for player 2) Would i just run a wire from each "no" blade for each player 1 (or 2) button to the coin 1 terminal on the i pac like this ?
This is the control panel im working on.
Thanks guys.

Thinking about it a little more I was wondering if that is the way the original cab determines which game you want to play. If you are using mame then the game in play will get the player start. I have never played the cab so I am only guessing but you may have to do some more work to get them to work like the original game.

Since you're running MAME, I'd think you could just wire to any unused terminal and then go into MAME settings and set the appropriate button.
So, you'd have 4 different buttons going to 4 different terminals.

Thanks guys! Bob, On the original game you have to use the left set of player 1 & 2 buttons for ms pac and the right set for galaga. Hanoboi I think your right. That would be an easier way to go. I haven't wired a i pac for a while. I guess i was over thinking it. Thanks for your help guys !

You could also just daisy chain the buttons. Link one of the player one buttons over to the other and then into the Ipac. I have several buttons on my control panel that are shared in this fashion.
