does anyone have any good quality close  shots of wires connected to their buttons? I just want to see how it should look wired correctly.

Awesome example. I work fpr a phone company and I don't know if you have ever been in a telco central office but the wiring (miles of it) is incredibly neat, wrapped and almost art like in it's craftsmanship.

Just like that pic.

I'm not sure about the quality, but here is one.  It looks a bit messy because the I-PAC is so close to the buttons, but it should give you the general idea.

Speaking of wiring, I ordered some of the wire that oscar suggested... was not impressed with the service. Kind of worried actually. Placed an order, and the order was "lost" Going to do some research/calling tommorrow. Odd.

Sorry to hear of your trouble ordering from Newark.  I can't imagine how many $1000's worth of parts I've ordered from them without a hitch.  I'm sure things will work out okay, they are a very reputable company.

FWIW, I've ordered much less from WICO, and they still manage to bungle nearly every order.  I have not yet been screwed by any retailer, it all works out fine in the end, however sometimes (unfortunately) it relies on some effort from the customer.

HDABM (Holy dumbass batman) !  I thought I knew most of them. Apparently not. ???. As bad as my memory is I should probably print this page, laminate it and slip it into my  "typing for retarts" manual. :P.  Thats what I love about the peeps on this message board. You ask a question or ask for help and you get your answer plus tons of more related info. ;D and on top of that nobody tore me a new one for asking a fairly stupid question. I lub you guys... sniff sniff.

My personal favorit is LIMP, Lobster In My Pants.

When my digital camera arrives either tomorrow or the following, I'll take some underside pictures of mine. I've always found thouse pictures to be far more intresting/useful then shots of the tops of peoples stuff. There are a few standerd button/stick layouts, then a few wacky ones, but there is a million ways to wire it.
