U360 pin-out?
« on: April 24, 2010, 12:22:48 pm »
Hi,

I'm making my own wiring harness for my U360s to connect buttons to. In the U360 docs that Andy/Ultimarc provides for the U360, they don't provide the actual pin-out diagram for the 10-pin input/output header on the joystick. I guess he'd rather sell his wiring harnesses for that or something.

Has anyone mapped the pin-out on the U360 already or know where to find it? This would save me some time figuring it out by trial and error, etc.

Regards,
  Ken

You could be less accusatory in your request for help.

See: Use of the 10-pin I/O port (Optional)

Thanks for the response. I don't mean to be negative on Andy, he's great! But after spending a large wad of $$$ on these awesome joysticks, I figured I could save a few bucks and make the wiring harnesses myself. With all the "necessary" optional items I've already paid for (springs, restrictors), it really $5 and $10 you death.

I am aware of the link you provided, but it does not show the pin-out on the u360 board, just the color-coding for the optional wiring harness that Ultimarc sells. I guess I should ask Andy for it.

Thx.

Thanks for the reply.

I asked Andy about it yesterday and he's now updated the U360 installation page with the pin-out in addition to the harness wire colors, including a handy diagram of the connector.

Andy is just fantastic, where else can you get that kind of turn-around on a weekend. :)

Hopefully this information will prove useful to others in the future.
