Control Panel A or B? How to wire??
« on: July 30, 2003, 09:40:56 am »
Everyone else posts their control panels so I thought I'd post the first two I've made.  Which one looks more professional?   :)   Actually my I-Pac just arrived at the airport in town, so hopefully over the next few weeks you'll see some real control panels that need to be critiqued.

Does anyone know if airborne will just leave the package or do they need someone to sign for it?  Do you think the wife will understand if I take off work and go home and wait for it?   ???

I was very content with using A until I got my I-Pac in.  Then I started drinking (usually when I do my best work).  I finished of the 18 pack.....over a few hours and was about to throw the box out.  Then it dawned on me.....time for a new control panel.   8)

Woho.....Airborne delivered my I-Pac4.  I thought it would take forever to get here.  I ordered it friday night and it was left on my doorstep a few minutes ago.  Now hopefully no one steels the package.  (Yeah...I'm talking to you)  >:(  Maybe I should leave work  ;D  You guys will cover for me right?

Question......Can I use Cat-5 to wire up the I-Pac or does someone recommend using heavier wire??  I have miles of Cat-5 laying around the house.

Sure thing.  Will work for a 18 pack. ;D

Cat5 is okay, but a little on the small side.  I heard some having cat5 wire break or slide out after a few months, but others seem to like it.  *shrug*

FWIW, I used 20 gauge (stranded) on mine, and it works great for me.
