Although, I haven't received my EI2 buttons yet I am trying to get my test LED working with my LED-Wiz as well.  I guess my small order of 4 buttons didn't make this first round, but it appears that the second is coming soon.  I'll be hooking up RBG units as well, so I've got interest in this thread too.

ive got somewhat of a frankenpanel.. i ordered 25 buttons!

i have a dream authentics cabinet... ive been modifying it though.

im swapping out 2 of the happ joysticks with their new omni 4 way/9way switchable sticks.

i just swapped out the spinner for the turbo twist high lo, just so i could properly play discs of tron.

i swapped out the heavy duty 8 way stick with trigger's ugly black body for the tron blue one...

so its lighting time now. i cant wait to learn about the LED stuff.. i even bought the LED marquee.

a buddy of mine works for some company that manufactures some sort of LED tape. he said he'd give me some to play with... i want to work it into the t-molding... how kick ass would that be combined with the LEDwiz?

:)

It's pretty simple with the EE RGB board and ribbon cable. Using a small knife you'll need to split the end of the ribbon cable into four individual wires. Just cut a tiny bit between each wire pair and then pull them apart for an inch or so. Use a wire stripper to remove the insulation off the end of each. As I recall, one of the wires has a red marker - that's the +5v. The other three are your Red, Green, and Blue leads. All the +5 wires can be tied together (or use a wiring block) and should run back to the +5v on the LEDWiz. Each of the R/G/B wires should be wired to a separate port on the LEDWiz. Most people keep them in sequence across the ports - RGBRGBRGB etc. That's it!

If you do a search for RGB LEDWiz Wiring on the site you'll find many threads on the subject (some with pictures).
