Did I install the Arcade VGA pci-e correctly to my mother board and installed the drivers correctly if I connect a computer monitor to it and get an error on the screen saying that the range of 50 hz (or something like that) exceeds the monitor please change the settings of your video card.

Do I need to connect my Arcade Monitor now so I can see a video output now?  That is my ultimate goal to get the computer connected to my Golded Tee so I can Golden Mame it and get all the course and a handful of games as well.

Thanks in advance
Brent

Did you connect it to the VGA port? I think I read somewhere that you have to use the DVI port, using a VGA adaptor if necessary.

It sounds like it.

I had the same deal with my PC when I had an ArcadeVGA AGP card installed.  I couldn't get a display, until I tossed in a PCI video card and hooked it up to that.

It would be nice if the Arcade VGA could also work at higher frequencies for the time you're configuring everything before hooking it up to an arcade monitor, but oh well.  Most motherboards these days have an onboard video card that can be used in the meantime.

I did hook up the regular monitor using the vga. So that is probably why I am getting that error.

So if I want to go to a regular computer monitor i hook the Regular Computer monitor to DVI with an adaptor for it to work.

BUT if I want to hook up the Arcade Golden Tee Monitor I use the VGA?

Thanks in advance
Brent

Cool thanks Dash.  It feels good to be on the right track.  I been trying so hard to keep motivate to finish my project.  Now that my wife let me put the golden tee in the living room.  It will get a whole lot more play

This is the beast it is going in.

I might hook it up for golden tee and world classbowling for now.  Till I get more motivated to make my removable interchangable control panels.

Thats exactly what it does. 15Khz arcade monitor via the VGA port and 31Khz VGA via DVI port.

Right- I was referring to the VGA port being able to handle higher frequencies.  :)

Thanks Andy,

I am just stoked to be on the right track.  I am going to try this weekend to hook up the PC to the Monitor.  I am going the video amp way to connect to the Arcade Monitor.  That seemed to be the easiest option for me because then I can switch it back to the original game if I wanted to easy. (I probably will never switch it back but I was going to go for the world record on Golden Tee 99 on two course)

It is all too easy so that makes me wonder if I did something wrong

Great Products by the way Andy.  I have ordered all my stuff through you.  Still also can't believe how fast you ship too. I got it in one day from London to New Jersey, USA.

Thanks
Brent
