Make Trax Suicide Battery?
« on: April 14, 2010, 02:24:45 pm »
I recently read somewhere that if your arcade machine does save the highscores that the suicide battery went out.  And apparently thats dangerous for the board.

I was just wondering how you can replace it.  I can't find anything that looks like a battery on my Make Traxs PCB.  Anyone know where it is?

Make Trax doesn't have a suicide battery.

I also think that Make Trax didn't save high scores.

Old boards with batteries for saving scores leak acid which damages the board physically. That's what you heard... and then mixed it up with the info about suicide batteries in some newer (1990's+) games. That's a board designed specifically so that if the battery dies, the board is no longer usable.
